Superbowl ads Budweiser

The video you have chosen is very entertaining. I like how they use compare and contrast. The first part of the video is of three guys drinking Empore beer. These three guys as seen in the video can be described as preppy, dorky, and unattractive men. They’re on he phone talking to each other repeating “what are you doing” and in the case of the man wearing glasses he is watching the market recap drinking an Empore which to my first thought was very uncool and unattractive. Actually, I found all three men to be very unattractive. I think they’re trying very hard to be too cool, but it only makes them look more uncool. My first thought to this commercial is that if this company is trying to sell beer using this commercial with three dorky men, then good luck to them selling their products. However, the turnover for the commercial came about when the dorky men so happen to be the one on TV being watch by two other men who looks like cool suave men. These two men however, are drinking something else—Budweiser. They dressed in a hip-hop, laid back style. The underline message here is ‘Be Cool, drink Budweiser. As it can be told in the underline message, there’s also a cause on and effect in the ad; that is if you dink Budweiser you are cool. Whereas, if you drink Empore, then you are dorky. So the main idea here is just drinking any beer does not make you cool, it drinking a certain brand of beer that makes you cool.
